Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PSEG.
Intern
My interview went really well! I was a bit nervous at first, but the two employees on the call made it very welcoming and easy to talk to while I answered their questions. They asked pretty standard interview questions about teamwork, conflicts, time management, and my interest in the company.
- Can you share an instance where you developed a safety protocol?
- Tell me about a time you collaborated within a team.
- Describe a situation where you faced a conflict with team members.
Intern
It was one round, about an hour, with about 5 questions. The whole hiring team was there. They asked a lot of behaviorals and asked about my resume and data analysis experience. You should know about PSEG.
- Can you share an instance where you pushed through a significant obstacle with persistence?
- What would you say is your greatest weakness?
- Describe your experience with data analysis.
Intern
I applied online and then heard back from them through a call and email about an interview. After that, I had a zoom interview with two people where they asked me a bunch of back-to-back questions, mostly behavioral ones, like 'tell me about a time' rather than technical questions.
- Describe a situation where you established safety standards.
