& Process

I participated in the selection process for the Graduate Program. I found the whole process extremely well-organized and transparent from the start. The timeline was respected and the various steps were communicated clearly. The process consisted of 4 main stages: initial test, interviews with HR, interview with manager, and interview with HR program. They focused on the motivational aspect and fit with the program.

Applied for the Graduate Program in America with Prysmian in July 2025. The hiring process was super slow, taking about six months. Had my final interview with the program coordinator in December 2025 and was told I'd hear back within days. Before that, I went through a nearly one-hour recruiter call, a 2.5-hour group interview with case studies, an online SHL test, an HR interview, and then the final interview with the coordinator from Italy. It all seemed to go well, and the HR team was really nice. But then they completely ghosted me. It's been over a month with no response to my two follow-up emails, even after mentioning the timeline they gave. It's frustrating, especially when I had other job offers pending and needed to make a decision. A quick email saying no would have been sufficient. Prysmian ended up wasting months of my time. Given the comments, this ghosting seems to be a pattern, so I'd avoid them if you value good communication.

The entire thing can take 4-6 months. First, you apply. Then, you do online tests: Verbal Reasoning, Numerical Reasoning, and Personality, through SHL. You can find help for these online. After that, there's an 8-hour in-person interview, which is actually three parts, and you're watched the whole time by several people. There were nine of us candidates, some business and some engineering, undergrad and grad. First, a presentation about the company and program, with time for questions. Second, a group activity. You get a case scenario, get some time to prep your own recommendation, then work with the group to reach a consensus. Everyone then presents their individual recommendation. They're looking for creative thinking, teamwork, and leadership. Lastly, you have a personal interview with two observers, no matter how the group thing went. It's like a traditional interview: talk about your resume, experience, goals. They'll also ask about placement abroad. For engineers, it's NOT technical, no tasks. If they like you after the 8-hour thing, you do a Skype interview with HR in Milan (or in-person if you're in Europe). Then, it's either a job offer or not. From start to finish, it took about 5 months, starting at a career fair. Once you get to the 8-hour interview, things move faster.
