First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Prudential.
Communication Manager
I applied through their careers page and a recruiter reached out for a 20-minute phone call. After that, I had a video interview set up. This was my second time applying to Prudential. Both times were good and felt supportive. I got a lot of helpful, personal feedback from the recruiters, and even though I didn't get an offer this time, I'm hoping to try again with them.
- Can you share details about a significant internal communication project or event you were involved in?
- What methods do you use to assess how effective your internal communication strategies are?
Implementation Manager
Applied in early Feb 2022. A few weeks after applying, I got a cognitive and critical thinking assessment. In March, I had my first interview, then in April, my second interview. I followed up multiple times, but it seemed like filling this role wasn't a top priority. They called in May to offer me the job, but I had already accepted another position. They also offered me less than the average salary for the role, even with my decade of experience. The company seemed great and everyone I met was friendly and interesting. I really wanted to join them. It just felt like they couldn't get their act together to finish the hiring process and didn't value my time.
- Can you share an experience where you had to... (behavioral)
Manager
I applied online and then a recruiter called me about a week later for a quick phone chat. A couple of weeks after that, I had a phone interview with the hiring manager. Then, about two weeks later, I came in for a series of 5 interviews, which were a mix of face-to-face and phone calls. The questions weren't tough at all. It was funny, it seemed like HR had printed out behavioral questions for the interviewer, and in one case, the interviewer literally handed me the questions and had me read them aloud before answering. Everyone was really nice though. One thing I didn't like was the strict 30-minute limit for each interview; I got cut off mid-sentence a few times.
- Can you share an instance where you pursued a decision that wasn't popular and how you persuaded your team that it was the correct path?
