It's a 2-round process. First is Hireview, which is pretty basic. Then you have either two back-to-back interviews or one interview with two people. The actual interview is a bit tougher but you'll be fine if you grasp portfolio and asset management in today's market. It sounds harder than it is. Just know what the CIO at Prudential does generally.

I had to do a Hirevue first, and most of the questions were technical. After that, I had an interview with two VPs that was about 1 hour and 15 minutes. They really grilled me with specific questions about my resume and technical stuff from my past experiences. So, make sure you know your resume really well and are ready for tough questions because they want to see how strong your skills are and what you can offer.

First, I had a ten minute Hirevue. After that, it was a one hour on-site superday with two back-to-back rounds. The recruiter called two weeks later to reject me, so don't get your hopes up if they call. The questions felt way too hard for an entry level role. One interviewer was really condescending and made me feel bad because I didn't take accounting, even though I'm an econ major.

  • How would you assess credit risk for different industries, using a plant pot manufacturing company as an example?
  • Could you answer some detailed questions about accounting and financial statements?
  • Can you pitch a stock?
