First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Proxify.
Senior Full Stack Developer
It started with a coding assessment, where I had to solve 3 problems. One was about a React app to fix many issues for it to run (a simplified Crypto broker). Another was to lazy load some images below the viewport using the intersection observer API. I forgot the third one. Then there was a screening interview where they went through my CV in detail and asked about my knowledge of certain technologies/languages and where I had used them. I didn't proceed to the next step because I felt I needed more experience in React.
- Could you address problems for a React app to make it run (Some simplified Crypto broker)?
- How would you lazy load some images below the viewport (using intersection observer)?
- Can you go through your CV in detail?
Full Stack Web Developer
The interview process started with an introductory call with the recruiter. She told me about herself, the company's work style, and asked about my technical background and what hourly rate I was looking for. Then, I had to complete a 3-hour coding challenge on Codeility that focused on my tech stack and had three tasks, which were pretty straightforward. After that, there was a casual technical interview where we just talked about my past work experiences to confirm my seniority and how I approach problems, without any live coding. Finally, I received an email outlining the agreed-upon rate and the next steps for onboarding.
- How would you handle situations with live data that experiences delays?
Full Stack Developer
I interviewed at Proxify for a Full Stack Developer position. The process began with an online assessment of my technical abilities. Following that, I had an initial interview. In this interview, they asked about my experience duration, the technologies I've used, and my strategy for starting new projects compared to continuing projects initiated by others. They seemed keen on understanding my work ethic and how adaptable I am. After the interview, they said they'd let me know their decision, but sadly, they didn't proceed to a third interview round.
- Regarding your years of experience, how many do you have?
- How do you manage discussions with individuals who aren't from a technical background?
- What's your approach when starting a new project versus taking over a project that someone else has already started?
