First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Proxify.
Senior Front End Developer
Applied online. It included a few stages: first, an online quiz with about 20 React and JS questions to be completed in 30 minutes. Then, a 3-hour online technical task involving 3 ReactJs challenges, like creating tabs, a music player, and lazy loading images; I finished with 98% success in 2 hours, noting a potential issue with one test case. Next was an online behavioral quiz with 55 questions, which was quite a lot. After that, a 30-minute online interview with a person. Finally, another technical interview was scheduled through a third-party company called Karat. Their platform was buggy, causing me to be kicked out of the first call multiple times, so I had to reschedule. The rescheduled interview involved 10 easy ReactJs questions in 10 minutes, recorded. Then, 40 minutes for 2 technical tests using only pure JS for form creation and validation, and DOM manipulation. This was unexpected as modern development uses frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular, and remembering old JS methods was difficult, especially with the slow code execution. I only completed one task. I got rejected and wouldn't recommend wasting time here given their outdated assessment methods.

Front End Developer
The interview process started with 3 Codility Tests, which seemed unrelated to the specific role, based on a form I filled out. After that, there was an HR interview to assess my fit with Proxify. This interview also touched on my technical knowledge and salary expectations. I did not reach the subsequent technical interview stage.
- Regarding Codility, can you explain the usage of fetch or axios?
- Can you describe Readable/Transform Streams in Node.js, and how to implement a transformation that converts each character of a word to caps only if they're alphabets?
- Explain JavaScript Proxy Objects and their use in intercepting get and sets for type validation based on key names, for example, 'age_int':6 is valid, but 'username_str':9 is not.
Front End Engineer
First, you apply on the Proxify site, giving info on your background, skills, and experience. Highlight your strengths and portfolio. Then, Proxify reviews your application to see if you fit. They look at your skills, experience, and portfolio. If you make the cut, you'll interview, likely by video call. This is to get to know you, check your communication skills, and understand your work style. Proxify might also give you a skill test to check your technical abilities and problem-solving skills. They might also do reference checks with your past employers or clients. If you pass all that, Proxify helps you with onboarding, like paperwork and learning their rules. After onboarding, you're in the Proxify community and can get projects. Proxify offers ongoing support for your freelance career.
