& Process

The interview process was super quick. I applied online through my college's job board. Soon after, they reached out and set up an initial phone call. It was a short 20-minute chat where I talked about myself and my career goals. Things went well, and they invited me to their office. I then had a 45-minute interview with two people: the one I spoke to on the phone and the Branch Manager. Since I was fresh out of college, they asked about my background, but PF is really good at hiring students. The interview was straightforward and relaxed. They specifically asked about my future aspirations. I got a job offer by phone a few days later and accepted it after thinking it over for a day.

I sent my resume and got a random call from HR about a month later asking if I could talk about the position right then, which I did for about 5 minutes. They asked why the mortgage industry and my major choice, and what location I preferred. They told me Atlanta had a Credit Analyst role, sent the job description which was super vague, and set up an interview for a week later. On the interview day, the Branch Manager called to say they had the flu and we had to reschedule for the next Tuesday. I made sure not to drive up the night before this time. The office was in a weird spot, and the parking was sketchy. Inside, there was no receptionist and it was eerily quiet. The woman who rescheduled greeted me and said the manager was still interviewing someone else. The branch manager was surprisingly chatty during the interview, and I thought I had a good chance, but didn't get the offer. This company has a lot of bad reviews, and my experience wasn't great either, though the manager seemed nice. I'd say if you have other offers, don't bother with this one.

First, I had a phone call discussing my work history. Then, I met with the Branch Lead for a 1:1 interview. It was a pretty relaxed chat; they offered me water and explained the interview steps. They asked about my accomplishments, areas for improvement, and what I'm good at. It wasn't a super tough interview. I was told I'd hear back within a week about a second interview, but I never did, so I assume they moved on with other candidates. All in all, it was an okay experience.
