First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Protiviti.

The interview process involved one case interview and one behavioral interview. The questions weren't too difficult, and they provided the business process model the day before for review. During the behavioral part, it felt like I was leading the conversation. The interviewer asked a question or two and seemed disengaged, then spent the remaining time asking me questions about himself. It felt less like an evaluation and more like he was talking about himself. The case interview was manageable, but the interviewer was quite rude and uninterested, yawning frequently. Overall, the interview felt very unprofessional, and it made me lose interest in working there. I haven't heard back, but I've decided not to proceed with them.
- Can you tell me about your experience working collaboratively with a team?

It starts with on campus interviews. First, a case study interview and a behavioral interview. If you pass that, the second round is an office visit. The night before, there's a dinner with higher management, and you meet the people who will interview you. The office visit has two short interviews with an MD or manager, plus you have to give a short presentation on different topics.
- What makes you want to be a consultant?
Technology
I got recruited through my university's career fair and had my first interview on campus. It was a two-part interview: 30 minutes of behavioral questions and a 30-minute case study. They invited me for a second round of office visits, but I had a scheduling conflict with my student commitments. Protiviti was really understanding about it and let me do a phone interview instead.
