Coding System Design Case Behavioral Technical Presentation

So I went through this tech consulting interview process, which was pretty tough but felt fair. First, I sent in my resume and cover letter. Then, I had a call with a recruiter to chat about my background and why I wanted the job. After that, it was a bunch of technical phone interviews with coding problems, system design stuff, and case studies – they really tested my skills. The next step was on-site interviews, which were virtual for me. These had several rounds, including behavioral questions where I used STAR and more technical talks, sometimes with whiteboarding. The last interview was with some senior people on a panel, checking out my strategy ideas and if I'd fit in. Finally, they gave me an offer and I did the background checks and paperwork.

Behavioral Case

It was one screening and then a final round. The final interview had a 30 minute behavioral part and a 30 minute case part. The behavioral was super chill, like a regular chat, no specific questions were asked. Really nice interviewer. The case was given 24 hours before, and they wanted to see how you made assumptions and drew conclusions from limited information.

Coding Technical Case Other

The interview process involved a case study that required a significant time commitment of 5-6 hours of unpaid work for detailed completion. Despite multiple requests for the job description, HR only provided a vague, high-level overview. The expectations for the role were unclear, seemingly requiring project management, scoping, detailed solution architecture, and hands-on coding skills. The coding exercise alone was estimated to take 2 hours. The role asked for 3 years of experience. The questions were basic, with many MCQ and one-line response questions, and did not delve into candidate experience. The interviewer was unable to provide details about the role, the team, or the company, and was unwilling to share their own experiences or project types.
