The hiring process took a while, but it was smooth. It kicked off with a call from the HR recruiter about a week after I applied. She was really friendly and ended up being a big advocate for me. After that, I had a phone interview with the Managing Director for the specific area I'd be working in, which went well. Then, I was invited for an on-site interview. At the onsite, I met with a Senior Consultant, the MD I'd be working for, and then had lunch with two Senior Managers. Everyone I met was very approachable and easy to talk to! I got the offer about one to two weeks later.

So we kicked things off with a pre-interview dinner in Chicago on Thursday night. It was a cool chance to meet some of the interviewers, other candidates, and HR people. Then Friday was all about the office visit and learning about the company. We had panel discussions, did team activities, and stuff. There was a 30-minute behavioral interview and a 30-minute case study interview. The HR manager sent over the case interview info the night before, so I spent Thursday night in the hotel getting ready for it. The case was about improving a pricing process from corporate to franchise for a fake company. Both interviews were actually pretty chill and relaxed.

Basically, they interview anyone from my school with a GPA over 3.25. They do a first round of interviews and make their decisions that same day. Then there are second round interviews, both held on campus. After another cut, they invite recruits to a site visit. The site visit included two more interviews and a skills/personality test. They give a few presentations and then take everyone out for a nice lunch or dinner.
