So at Protiviti, the interview process usually has about 2 to 4 rounds, but it really just depends on the specific role, how much experience you have, and what the business needs. First up is usually an HR/Recruiter Screening, which can be over the phone or video. The main goal here is just to see if you're a basic fit and if you're actually interested. They'll ask things like 'Tell me about yourself,' 'Why Protiviti?', and about your notice period, where you want to work, your salary expectations, and if you understand the role a bit.

Behavioral Case

There were about 5 questions, mostly standard competency questions. It ended with a question about the role of management consulting in society, which was a bit of a curveball. They also asked what makes it a good time to work at Protiviti and about a time I worked in a team. They also asked how I manage busy and bench periods in consulting.

Technical Behavioral

I got contacted by a recruiter, then did a phone screen, followed by a virtual technical interview. After that, I had in-person interviews at their NYC office. This included three back-to-back sessions with senior management. The interviewers were nice and asked good questions, and I learned a lot from the conversations. However, the in-person interview room was really uncomfortable, super small and not well-ventilated. It felt like an interrogation room, making it tough to stay calm and focused. The interviews were about two hours straight with pretty much no breaks. My tip: ask for water immediately and ask for a short break if you need one.
