I got an email from a Robert Half recruiter. After I responded and had a call to confirm I was still interested, they passed me along to a Protiviti recruiter. I ended up having 3 interviews in about 2 weeks: one phone call, one virtual meeting, and one in-person interview at their office. They liked what they saw and made me an offer, which I accepted. My start date is set for about a month from now.

Behavioral Case

Applied via the university recruiting website and had interviews on campus. There were two 30-minute interviews: one behavioral and one case interview. A pre-interview night was also part of the process. The case interview was straightforward, focused on understanding my thought process rather than a complex problem. The behavioral interview asked me to use a leadership team project for every position, which I felt didn't effectively showcase my professional abilities.

I was referred to Protiviti by an alumn, who passed my resume to some coworkers. They had lunch with me, then passed my info to a managing director. We had breakfast, which was pleasant. She then referred me to two managers. That’s where it got bad. We had a lunch set up, and they rescheduled it for a month later. I showed up, waited, and they never showed. HR apologized and rescheduled for two weeks later. The two managers showed up, and talked only about their kids and internal stuff. It was awkward. They left quickly. I only found out I was rejected a month later after reaching out to HR. It was a short process that dragged out. Protiviti has a bad reputation, which I learned later.
