Software QA Engineer
The interview took place at their office and involved an aptitude test which was easy. Following that, there were three technical rounds. The questions were of intermediate difficulty and based on my resume. The entire interview lasted about an hour. Unfortunately, I didn't pass the first round because I had trouble expressing my thoughts clearly at that moment. However, it was a really valuable learning experience!
- Can you elaborate on specific Linux commands?
- Could you explain the academic projects you've worked on?
- Can you explain the Hadoop Architecture?
Software QA Engineer
So, I got contacted by their in-house recruiter after my resume got shortlisted. The initial chat was good and I was quite excited about the interview because they work with Data Security for Big Data. First up was a telephonic round, which went pretty well. I didn't nail every question, but it was a solid discussion, and I felt I answered what I could. Next, I had a call with their Global QA head. The recruiter set it for 4 PM on a weekday, which was fine since I could work from home. However, the interview started an hour late, and only after I nudged the recruiter. It went for about an hour and then just stopped abruptly. I was confused and called the recruiter, who said the interviewer's laptop died but the feedback was positive. I lost about 2.5 hours of my workday, but it felt worth it. Later, the recruiter got back to me saying there'd be an HR round and I got a call from the India site manager. He explained their products, my role, and the salary expectations. I shared my salary thoughts, and he asked why. After some back and forth, he said the recruiter would email the details and I'd need to visit their office for more talks. I felt good about this and let my family know. The final round was on a Wednesday, but I heard nothing for 6 days. I got a bit worried and called them. The recruiter admitted he
