The interview itself was fine, I thought I had a good conversation with the hiring manager. However, I never heard back from them with feedback or any updates. It's pretty poor practice to ghost people after they've spent time researching the business and interviewing with you. I'm not sure if this is common in the US, but it's definitely not the norm in the UK. The job market for internal recruitment roles is really tough right now, so taking a moment to give candidates an update either way is just basic decency.

I spoke with a recruiter and then the hiring manager. Initially, they were both professional, but after the hiring manager interview, they ghosted me. My follow-up email to the recruiter was ignored. It’s frustrating when candidates put a lot of effort into applying and interviewing, and it only takes a moment to send a rejection email. It would be considerate to treat candidates like people after they’ve invested time talking with you.

This whole interview process took 5 days to complete. In total, there were 5 rounds. It started with an aptitude round, then followed by three technical rounds, and finally an HR round. All of these rounds were elimination rounds. The main focus was on oops and DSA concepts. They asked questions based on the programming language you prefer and the projects you listed on your resume.

This was a terrible interview process. I spoke with over ten people across more than four weeks, and that included conversations with members of the executive team. Twice, I was actually told I would receive an offer – once by the CEO and again by the CMO. But ultimately, the CEO changed his mind about extending the offer. It really felt like decision paralysis. In the end, though, I wouldn't have accepted the offer anyway because the management team and CEO seemed so indecisive.
