Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Prosperity Bank.
Bank Teller
I applied and got contacted a couple of days later to schedule an interview. I went to the branch and was interviewed by the manager, teller supervisor, and someone from HR over the phone at the same time. They asked me questions from paper. After leaving, I got a call offering me the job. HR called me two days later with the official offer and start date.
- Tell me about a time you had a conflict with a coworker and how you handled it.
Bank Teller
I applied online and then someone from corporate emailed me the next day. We set up an interview date and I spoke with the branch manager and another person. It was pretty awkward. They took turns reading questions from a list and asked a lot about my past cash handling experience.
- What makes you a better candidate than others for this position?
Bank Teller
It was pretty straightforward, they asked some basic stuff. We talked about my availability and how much I wanted to get paid. They also wanted to know about my past jobs and if I'd handled cash before. The manager let me know what the job involves day-to-day.
- Can you tell me about a weakness you have?
- What are your scheduling needs?
- What are your salary expectations?
