First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Prosource Wholesale.
Account Manager
This was a lengthy interview process with multiple steps. I got to the third interview, and I was really hoping for the job. But the salary they offered was way less than what was on the Indeed job posting. When I asked about it, they said it must have been a mistake on the posting, which felt dishonest. The second interview with the regional manager was weird. He asked me how much I wanted to make and then said if I said 200K, he would have ended the interview right then. It made me wonder about their company culture and how they treat people.
- What is your salary expectation?
Kitchen and Bath Designer
After I submitted my application, the main office texted me the same day to set up a quick call. It was mostly about my experience, checking if I knew my way around the 2020 Software and if I had previous work experience with cabinets.
- Do you have experience using 2020 software?
- Can you tell me about your past work experience and knowledge, especially with cabinetry?
Expeditor
I talked with the Sales Manager and the Operations Manager for all the Texas locations. They asked me about my past experiences, what I was looking for now, and what they were expecting. A few days later, I met with the owner, and we had a good conversation about books and families, and he told me about the culture he built and tested my personality to see if I would fit. All three interviews were like conversations, and I didn't feel like I had to impress anyone. I felt at ease and comfortable during the whole process.
- What are your career aspirations and why do you believe this role aligns with them?
Administrative Assistant
This was my first time interviewing using an app, which was a digital interview. The questions appeared on my phone screen via the app, and I could re-record my answers as many times as I wanted before submitting them. It was interesting, but I would have preferred a face-to-face interview so I could ask questions and see their reactions. I never heard back from the company, even after I followed up by email a week later. This left a bad impression on me.
- What qualities do you seek in a leader, and what traits did your previous supervisors possess?
- Can you share an example of a challenging task you faced in your prior role?
