First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Proskauer Rose.
Summer Associate
The interview process was very fair. It involved several panel interviews with partners and associates from practice areas I was interested in. The interviews were conducted over Zoom and lasted about two hours back to back. The recruiting team was great, and although the initial screener was a bit abrupt, I received a callback soon after.
- What is your motivation for working at our firm?
Legal Assistant
I had two interviews back to back. One was with the hiring manager, and the other was with an executive at the location where I would have worked. The hiring manager was really rude and impatient. They were having some technical difficulties, but it wasn't my fault, and she took it out on me. She was unpleasant to talk to and didn't seem interested in the conversation at all. I really hope she finds another career because this isn't something she should be doing.
- What makes you want to join Proskauer?
Business Developer
I went through a few rounds of interviews. First, I spoke with HR. Then, I had a second interview with a team member. The third and final round was with several directors and other team members. After what I thought was a good interview, I sent a thank-you email. I waited two weeks with no response, so I followed up again about a month ago. Still no response, they totally ghosted me. It seemed like a bad, demanding, and low-paying job anyway, so I'm happy I'm not working there.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What are some challenges you have encountered?
Director of Privacy
The interview process included several rounds with practice attorneys and infrastructure leadership. The questions were challenging but fair. However, one part of the interview with an infrastructure manager was very negative; they seemed rude, possibly due to jealousy or feeling threatened by my background. This was the last interview of the day after three others, and it made my decision clear. Since I had two other job offers, I withdrew my application. I don't want to work in a place with unprofessional managers, especially one who lacked privacy expertise. My advice to Proskaur HR is to select interviewers who represent the company professionally. In this job market, top candidates have choices. I'm happy in my current role, so thank you for making my decision easy.
- Can you detail your experience offering regulatory guidance on privacy matters concerning GDPR, HIPAA, and SOX?
