Customer Service Representative
Had a few interviews. The staff were super nice. The whole interview process felt really personal and kind! Didn't get the job in the end, but I still liked the process and learning about the company. The interview was done online over Zoom.
- Can you tell me about a challenging customer interaction you had and how you handled it?
Customer Service Associate
I applied and then about a month later, I got a phone screening. After that, I had to send in some examples of how I'd respond to customers via email. Then, I had a longer interview with three different people, which lasted around 90 minutes in total. The team seemed really nice and it was easy to chat with them. Sadly, I didn't get the job, likely because my previous work wasn't exactly in customer service for products. I was a bit bummed that the rejection email seemed like a generic template instead of something more personal, but I get that they probably get tons of applications. I was hoping for a more personal email since I made it pretty far. But honestly, the team was great and their benefits package sounded amazing.
- Can you share an instance where you were unable to assist a customer, leaving them dissatisfied?
- In what ways can a customer service associate contribute to the company's success?
Customer Service Representative
It was a long and intense interview process. It started with a phone call, then an email quiz, and finally a video call where I spoke with 3 different people. The staff were generally nice, but the questions were tricky, so definitely come prepared! I was asked about 10 'tell me about a time when' questions.
- Can you explain a complex topic in a simple manner?
- Tell me about a situation where you couldn't satisfy a customer, and they remained unhappy.
- Describe a time you exceeded expectations to help a customer.
