Propeller Management Consultant Interview Questions

Applied online and a recruiter got in touch to explain the interview process. First, a 30-minute on-call meeting was scheduled. However, the interviewer wasn't available on the original date, so it had to be rescheduled. The initial on-call interview with a Consultant went well. After that, I was selected for a second round. This second interview was a 1-hour video conference held the following week, and I was given three dates to pick from. I was asked about myself, my current role, why I was interested in Propeller, and given a mini-case about a product release, which I answered from both business and technical perspectives. The interview went smoothly. Three days later, I received a rejection email, and despite sending two follow-up emails asking for feedback, HR didn't respond.

Right after I submitted my online application, they were super quick with communication. I got through 3 out of the 4 steps. It started with a 30-minute phone screen, then two 1-hour Zoom calls. Before each step, they sent a summary of what to expect and some company info. I'm guessing the last interview was the big business case study with a presentation, like others mentioned. The interviewers were all really nice and gave off that good company culture vibe from their website. The first two rounds felt pretty good and matched the summaries. But the third one was a bit unexpected. They gave a "mini" business case study for each 1-hour call, really short with no time for questions. My second "study" was supposedly about implementing software, but with no details. They wanted an answer right away, no time to think it through, which was way different from the first one. They kept asking the same question even after I answered, like they wanted a super specific response. Honestly, I feel like they decided before that final business case study even happened. They also ended the call 25 minutes early, and their vibe made it clear they weren't interested in continuing. I was and still am confused why they cut it short so abruptly. Still, they were polite when I asked my questions and we chatted nicely after they said they had no more. Overall, it was still a good experience. The process felt thorough, and they're open to feedback if you ask. Hopefully, if they give me feedback, it'll be something useful for improving.

They laid out the process pretty clearly so I knew what to expect for each interview, which was helpful. My first two interviews went well, but the third one was rough. The interviewer seemed really stressed, which isn't a great look. They mentioned that Propeller was 'desperate for people' and couldn't hire fast enough. I was told I'd get a call afterwards to talk about my rate and pay. Then, a week later, I got a generic email saying I wasn't moving forward. What a way to end things! Another odd thing was how the qualifications they were looking for seemed to change as the process went on.
