I applied online for the role and after submitting my application, I had a screening call with a recruiter to review my background and overall fit. I then completed two interviews that focused on my general experience and included a short case-style exercise. After those interviews, the recruiter reached out again to discuss compensation. I was informed that the salary range had been lowered since I applied and that they could not offer anything above 140k. This change was not communicated earlier in the process, and the originally posted range was not honored. Aside from the compensation discrepancy, everyone I spoke with was professional and pleasant, and the culture seemed positive. Unfortunately, the inconsistency around the salary range affected my overall experience and desire to work for them.

They ask a lot during the interview process considering it’s 4 rounds. I had very meaningful and fun conversations. They ask a variety of situation based questions and want to know how you would handle certain situations and environments. If you make it through all 4 rounds of interviews it’s about 10+ hours especially with prep. This company is looking for general management consultants. Additionally, it seemed more of a staff augmentation company and not necessarily consulting. Buyer beware and know that the salaries do not even come close to matching other, more established firms

The interview process had 4 rounds total. One round was a business case role play. The business case scenario was given a few minutes before the call, and a team member explained it and answered questions for 15 minutes. Then I had about 90 minutes to prepare a business case based on the provided use case, which was vague and meant to test experience, knowledge, and ability to handle ambiguity. Finally, I spent 1 hour role-playing as a Propeller consultant presenting my business case to two senior people playing customer leadership.
