DevOps Engineer
The interview process had six stages: first, an Internal Recruiter filtering, then an Interview with Upper Management. After that was a Technical Interview with a pair programming task, followed by a Take-Home Assignment w/ review interview. Next, a Technical Interview with a whiteboard and troubleshooting exercise, and finally another Technical Interview. Overall I found this quite overkill, four stages would have been sufficient. In the end, I decided that the company wasn't going to give me enough opportunities for career growth.
- Debug Terraform code with a pair programming partner.
- Complete a take-home assignment to set up and debug a Kubernetes solution.
- Debug architectural issues presented via a flowchart.
DevOps Engineer
So I had my first screening interview, which went pretty good. Then I moved on to the second stage and had an interview with the hiring manager. That one didn't quite work out though, as it turned out they were actually looking for someone at an intermediate level. Overall, it was a good experience though.
- Can you walk me through your typical pipeline process?
- How do you handle the change process?
- What do your day-to-day responsibilities usually involve?
DevOps Engineer
I had two interviews. First one was with the Team leader and another person from the team, it lasted an hour. Second one was also with the Team leader and another person from the team, it lasted an hour. The vibe wasn't too relaxed. I got an answer a week later.
- Could you explain DNS servers and in detail, describe what happens when you type a website address?
- Tell me about your experience with Linux.
