Talked to HR first, then a coding project to do at home. After that, I had a chat with the manager, and then another interview with the tech team.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The recruiter called me out of the blue to check if I was still interested. The first round was with the Hiring Manager. Then came a take-home assignment followed by a discussion of the report with two team leads who were professional and asked good questions. I thought that round went really well. The recruiter called again without warning to ask about my visa status. I'm on an H1b and it's easily transferable, but the recruiter seemed unsure about H1b cap-exempt. The next day, I was told they were moving forward with other candidates. I suspect this was just an excuse because I felt the previous rounds went so well that I should have been invited to the final round. I want to caution others needing visa or GC sponsorship to think carefully before applying, as visa status might be a reason they reject you.

We had a phone screen where they asked about my background and why I wanted to apply. Then there was a small technical interview, checking my availability and asking general questions about the company. Round 2 was a technical interview focused on Classical Machine Learning, covering things like decision surfaces, depth, and SVMs. Round 3 was another technical interview, this time on Deep Learning, specifically about loss functions and learning rules.
