Proof Management called me the day after I applied to set up the first interview. It was a chill and simple process. For the first interview, I went to their office, which was pretty cozy. I met Lindsey, who quickly explained what the company does. She was upfront about the job: selling products in places like Costco or Sam's Club. Even though I realized it was a pyramid scheme, I decided to go for a second interview. This involved shadowing someone for about 45 minutes. The entry-level job is basically selling stuff at a mall kiosk, like in Costco. You have to call out to people walking by and learn their five-step sales method. You get paid commission, but there's a minimum hourly wage for days with bad weather when fewer people shop. The employee I shadowed talked about how the hiring and promotion process works. You stay in the sales role for 6-9 months before moving up. Level 2 is similar, but you build your own team of "cheap laborers." Level 3 means splitting your time 50/50 between selling in stores and managing your team from the office. At Level 4, you're full-time in the office, hiring people. The top level lets you start your own branch and hire others. They invited me for a third interview, which is where they usually hire you if you've made it this far, but I turned it down because it wasn't what I was looking for. If you're into this kind of sales or need summer cash, I'd recommend it. Everyone I met was super nice and worked hard. My only suggestion for Proof Management is to be as honest online about the job as you are in person. But hey, they know their business; their whole model relies on hiring salespeople, and being upfront online would make it harder to get applicants.

The interview process was brief and the description they gave was misleading. The office environment was also quite unpleasant. Their whole setup felt outdated. The receptionist was loudly discussing other applicants within earshot in the same room. Finding their office from the main road was difficult, as they are located in a large building with many rented office spaces. The office itself was in poor condition; the carpets were stained and dirty. One would expect a company that claims to be professional to invest in their hiring space. Their image could be better. I explored the office, including the restroom, and observed that the waste bin was overflowing with used tissues soiled with feces. There was no soap in the dispenser, and numerous toilet paper rolls were scattered on the bathroom floor. I even took a photo. While I was there, several other candidates were also filling out the same paperwork. It's disheartening that many of us are recent graduates, and companies like this operate as pyramid schemes, demanding excessive work for very low pay and demeaning tasks. They should be ashamed.

The office was very welcoming when I arrived, and the environment felt upbeat and lively. The hiring manager was outgoing and really passionate about her job, which naturally made me more interested in the position. The interview process itself was quick and to the point. After the initial office interview, I got to see the marketing assistant role in action, which I found really helpful for understanding the company better. Following that, I had a final interview with another hiring manager who also seemed super excited about the role and the company.
