Sales Executive
The interview process included two phone interviews and an in-person "skills test." The phone interviews were pretty standard. The "skills test" was more like working for free. It wasn't a test of varied skills, but rather being put in an office for 3.5 hours to make as many calls as possible to set up meetings for others. They only provided a basic fact sheet about the company and expected me to read from a script. I made 126 calls, reaching 6 decision-makers, with 3 hanging up when I recited the script. I then tried my own approach, which led to better conversations, but those prospects had recently signed contracts. During this "skills test," I was alone; no one monitored performance or conversation quality. They seemed focused solely on results, regardless of the method. Sales often involves luck and timing. With 2 years of sales experience and a history of success, I've never encountered such a pointless process. Another interviewee left after 20 minutes, which I should have done. The "skills test" indicated it wouldn't be a good workplace, suggesting they prioritize task completion over employee well-being. The office environment, with its bleak and small space and few people, contrasted sharply with the "happy family" image presented during the phone interviews. It felt like a complete waste of time.

- Describe a challenging situation where you had to take the lead.
Sales Executive
The interview process with Proliant went extremely well and was very efficient. Through each step, employees at Proliant gave immediate, positive feedback and they were all very kind and welcoming. My favorite part of the process was the honesty and clarity in the details that Proliant gave me about the position I was applying for.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
Sales Executive
The interview and hiring process was super organized. I stayed in touch with the recruiter and hiring manager the whole time. It started with a phone interview and then a 1on1 session called 'a day in the life' so I could see exactly what the job would entail day-to-day. After that, I had a final 1on1 with the Director of sales and then got the offer.
- Can you tell me about your weakness?
