IT Help Desk Analyst
The interview process involved about 2-3 interviews with the managers. They were very kind and explained the role well. I really liked how quick and responsive the team was during and after the interviews. After the process, my managers met me and helped me get set up in the office. The IT department is run by reliable people and they took the time to see if I was a good fit for the role, which is kind of unique.
- What would be your response if a user is unable to connect to the network?
Benefit Support Specialist
The interview process included a recruiter phone screening, followed by a recorded interview. After the recorded questions, I had three more interviews. The first was a casual phone call discussing the job duties and confirming my experience matched. The second phone interview felt more like a standard interview but still casual. The last interview was with the COO over Zoom. A few questions were asked, focusing on my learning style and tech comfort. The whole process from applying to offer took about a month and a half, with the recruiter staying in touch.
- What steps would you take to assist a client facing issues with their application?
- Do you have experience or comfort working with brokers?
- Describe a situation where you exceeded expectations.
HR Products Specialist
This interview process involved about 5 interviews. It kicked off with an email where I had to respond to interview questions, followed by a test and a recorded interview. Then, there were 3 live online interviews. It was exhausting and incredibly time consuming with so much involved. I even met with interviewers who forgot about the interview, and who didn't turn their cameras on even though I was told I must turn mine on. They asked a lot of loaded questions and questions about dealing with angry customers. I made it all the way to the final interviews, only to be ghosted by everyone and see the job reposted a few days later. Wildly disappointed by the incompetence and disrespectful nature of this company's recruiting practices.
- What distinguishes good client support from truly outstanding client support in your opinion?
- Describe a challenging interpersonal dynamic you encountered with a colleague. What made them difficult? How did you manage the situation? How did your relationship evolve? What insights did you gain?
- Share an instance where you made a significant mistake. What transpired? How did you respond? How did you communicate with those impacted? What lessons were learned?
Onboarding and Human Resources Products Specialist
I was emailed to set up a 15-minute phone interview, which was a quick chat about me and the company. It turns out this role is basically account management, where I could be managing 600 accounts, with about 100 needing setup help or being more demanding. I decided to go through with it because I need a job and want HR product experience. They sent me their benefits info, a skills assessment with basic math questions, and a link for a virtual interview. I thought the assessment was easy, but I got rejected saying my results weren't good enough, apparently missing one question means you're not qualified. This company wasted my time.
- Can you share an accomplishment you are proud of?
