Behavioral Technical

I had a phone screening first, and then I had two 1-hour interviews with software engineers. It was mostly behavioral, and they didn't ask any LeetCode-style questions. The most important thing is to use the STAR method for all your answers. The only technical questions were about my past projects.

We had 3 rounds, each an hour long. The first round was a technical screening, and it was all STAR format questions. The other two rounds were with managers. The tech lead also did a round, which was also STAR format. All rounds used the STAR method.

Behavioral Technical

They use the STAR format, so look it up and practice answering questions in this format. The process included 1 phone screen where the recruiter was very nice and asked a couple of technical questions to make sure everything aligned. Then there were 2 behavioral interviews with engineering managers, each lasting 1 hour. Finally, there was a 1-hour technical interview with relevant technical questions from your future teammates. They did not use Leetcode. They will check your GitHub, so it's a good idea to have some demo/challenge/project code there. I had thousands of commits in private repositories from my last job, which I think they liked.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Tell me about a time using the STAR method.
  • Do you have experience with the technologies listed in the job description?
  • Can you explain how you would design and scale a feature?
