HR Specialist
It was a short, to-the-point interview with clear, relevant questions. The interviewers were professional and engaged, and they gave me specific, helpful feedback right after. It made the experience useful and good. The conversation felt like a team effort and was insightful, pointing out my main strengths and areas for improvement. All in all, it was a well-organized and motivating chat.
- Describe a situation where you managed a difficult employee relations problem. What steps did you take, and what happened as a result?
Senior Director Product Marketing
It was a whole process that spanned over 2 months with multiple rounds. I spoke with a bunch of the key people in the business. Then I had to do a case study presentation, and after that, an in-person interview. Even though I got really good feedback all the way through and was told I met all the requirements, the role's scope changed right at the end and then they just ghosted me. Honestly, it was a pretty bad look for the company, in my opinion. They should at least have the courtesy to give feedback.
- Tell me about your go-to-market strategy.
- What specific information can you share about go-to-market strategies from your experience 5-7 years ago?
Account Manager
The interview process started with an initial screening call, followed by a detailed interview with the hiring manager. After that, I received an assignment to complete. Once I submitted my assignment, I was invited to present my work to the hiring manager and several other stakeholders. There were multiple rounds of questions throughout the process, and each step provided useful feedback and insights into the company’s expectations and culture. Overall, it was thorough and informative.
- How would you approach explaining technical information to individuals who do not have a technical background?
Writer
HR reached out about the role and salary, which was transparent and aligned with my goals. The first interview went great, and I was recommended for a second interview, which also went well. They were communicative about the process and timeline, which was a change from other experiences. After a week or two, HR emailed on a Friday saying they went with someone with more experience, and couldn't offer feedback since I was great but the other candidate had more tech experience. However, she mentioned a second position might open, and if I could wait, they'd know early next week. I agreed, but early Monday morning I got another email saying the second position got approval, but the other candidate accepted over the weekend, so thanks and they'll keep me in mind. I understand choosing a better candidate, but this felt inconsiderate. It seemed like they told me about a position that was already offered, or deliberately gave me false hope. They had approval Friday, and if the person accepted over the weekend, the offer was likely made Friday. It would've been easy to just wait until Monday to contact me about any position. If the second candidate accepted, they could have just said I didn't get the original job. If they declined, they could have contacted me Monday and offered the second slot. It felt like they disregarded me as a person, building up hope that the second job was basically mine if approved, which was false hope and unethical.
