Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Productive Edge.
Software Engineer
My interview had a tech question online and offline. First, I had an HR round, then a technical coding test, followed by an online interview and an offline interview. The questions covered my resume and coding, as well as behavioral aspects.
- Tech questions related to software engineering.
- Questions based on your resume.
- Questions from the coding round.
Software Engineer
Recruiter hit me up minutes after I applied and set up a phone screen with an architect. Then I got invited onsite where I talked with architects, tech leads, and product managers. They asked me stuff about Spring, a system design question, and a deep dive into my experience. There were also cultural fit questions. The interview was kinda weird though, the recruiter kept mentioning how the location wasn't great.
- Can you explain your experience with Spring?
- Could you design a system that makes multiple API calls?
- Walk me through your previous work experience.
Java Software Developer
The interview process went smoothly, with two meetings. First, I spoke with the recruiter, and then I had a technical interview with a senior developer. Both interviews were quick and went well, and they were responsive.
- Could you tell me about core Java concepts?
- What are your thoughts on Java security practices?
