Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Product Madness.
Product Manager
Had a 30min screening call with HR, but then the company ghosted me. I didn't get any feedback, and I wouldn't recommend wasting your time with them. They showed a total lack of respect by not getting back to me.
- Can you tell me about your past positions?
- Do you have any general HR questions for me?
- What are your salary expectations?
Product Manager
The interview process had three stages. First was a general Q&A with some quant analysis. Second was a take-home task, followed by a presentation. Third was more Q&A with senior management. Overall, the process was very straightforward and well organised.
- Could you tell me about your favorite F2P game currently and explain their monetization strategy at a high level?
Product Manager
The phone screen interview went well, followed by a take-home test which was a bit amusing but understandable given how competitive hiring is. The in-office interview felt very similar to the manager's review, which was a bit obnoxious since I'd already done a similar test at home. It seemed they weren't really looking to hire me but rather to solve some issues they were having, as they started drilling me and taking notes. I wasn't asked anything about my career, achievements, previous roles, or background, which further suggested they weren't seriously interviewing me. Their in-person testing also lacked sufficient data for more than a creative guess and required more time than the take-home quiz.
- What's causing the in-game coin inflation and how would you address it?
