Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Prodigy Education.
Software Developer
I was supposed to have an interview with Prodigy Education, but they totally ghosted me. I was left waiting alone on their Zoom call for 20 minutes, and then nothing. No one showed up, no one contacted me afterwards to explain why. It was really disrespectful. I have no idea what the rest of the interview process would have been like.

Software Engineer
The interview process was a bit off-putting. Some interviewers seemed to intentionally try to intimidate candidates by asking very specific, detailed questions about the company's product and technologies, things a candidate wouldn't typically know before joining. This approach actually discouraged me from moving forward. It felt like the company was overly focused on its own product. While expecting candidates to have a general understanding is reasonable, demanding intricate knowledge is excessive and frankly, annoying. It's a bit contradictory when the HR recruiter mentions the company's expansion and need for talent, but then the interviewers create a barrier. I think they could attract more skilled individuals by focusing on standard software engineering questions rather than pushing candidates to thoroughly test the app beforehand.

Automation Developer
First, an HR phone interview to go over general info. Then, a QA manager phone interview where they ask technical questions. After that, a programming test where the manager sends a GitHub repo link, and you have to fix all the code issues, make your own branch, and push it. Finally, an on-site interview to meet managers and team members.
