Sales Development Representative
The interview process was what I expected. First, a quick 30-minute call with HR/Recruitment to see if I was a good fit for more interviews. The second interview was with the sales manager, focusing more on personality, company culture, daily tasks, and career goals. The third interview was with three team members in the office. Unfortunately, this interview kept getting rescheduled, and then the job changed from remote to in-office, which I couldn't do because I couldn't relocate.
- Can you share how you demonstrate openness, optimism, and ownership in your life?
Sales Development Representative
It was a really smooth process. Started with a 30-minute phone call with the recruiter to go over my resume and get details on the company, job, and pay. Then, there was a panel interview, three 30-minute sessions with managers who support the SDR team. They asked resume questions and focused a lot on culture fit, which seems genuine given their hiring practices. The final step was a 30-minute interview with a senior sales manager, the hiring decision-maker. Overall, it was a great experience, a bit nerve-wracking but the interviewers made me feel comfortable, like a conversation rather than an interrogation.

Sales Development Representative
The sales leader from Austin reached out on LinkedIn at the end of 2015. I replied in January saying I was interested in chatting. It took about 2-3 weeks to get a response, which didn't have a clear next step. I followed up (twice) with my contact details. About 2 weeks after that, I got a quick message saying a recruiter would contact me to set up a call. A week later, I got another short message asking me to pick a time for a 30-minute screen via TimeTrade. The call basically focused on how Procore is special because it has over 10 full-time recruiters. It was mentioned more than once that the recruiter was booked solid all day. I asked some interesting questions and got good answers, but her busy recruiting schedule and how swamped she seemed really stood out within the first 3 minutes. I decided not to send a follow-up email to ask about the next steps because I would have turned down the offer based on the experience anyway. As expected, I got another brief message saying, 'Just to give you a quick update, we won't be moving forward. Thanks!'
