First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Procore Technologies.
Product Marketing Manager
I applied online through a referral and interviewed with Procore Technologies for a product marketing position. My interview process included a 30 minute phone screen with a recruiter, followed by two 30 minute video calls back to back: one with the hiring manager and one with the director. The hiring manager, who would have been my direct manager, didn't turn their video on and said they didn't have my resume. After my responses, there were long pauses, making me feel like they weren't paying attention, which felt disrespectful given my preparation. The director mentioned they were busy with a tight schedule and rushed into the interview. This ultimately led to a poor interview experience, and I couldn't see myself joining the team based on how I was treated. On a positive note, the recruiter was great, providing timely updates and even helping me with another role. Procore tends to favor internal hires for promotions, making it tough for external candidates.
- Can you describe your current company's product in 2 minutes and try to sell it to me?

- What is a project that you feel most proud of?
Product Marketing
I had two phone calls with different people where we discussed my background, what I'm into, and why I want this job. I also got to ask them about their jobs, the company, different teams, the vibe, and what they'd expect from me. Both chats were pretty laid-back and everyone I talked to was nice, helpful, and gave good info. It was cool to learn more about the company, the department, and what the actual job would involve since I didn't really know much beforehand.
- What specifically about Procore caught your attention?
- What aspects of this particular role appeal to you?
- Can you describe your experience that aligns with the requirements of this position?
Product Marketing Manager
I applied online because I know a good job description when I see one, given my experience hiring and managing people. Though I wasn't sure my application would be seen, an in-house recruiter reached out. It started with a phone screen, then a call with the hiring manager, both focusing on cultural fit and relevant experience. Next, an onsite interview with cross-functional team members. The final step was a conversation with the executive overseeing the practice area, focusing on working styles, interpersonal approaches, and skills.
