Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Procom.
Senior Recruiter
So, there were 3 interviews, each lasting an hour. First was with HR, then a team lead in Ottawa, and finally the VP of recruitment. After that, a background check, including criminal and credit checks, and they also contacted 2 professional references.
- Can you walk me through your background and what your career aspirations are?
Technical Recruiter
First, there was a prescreening phone interview. Then, I went in for an in-person interview where I met with three different people separately. I had the opportunity to ask questions about the role to someone who is currently doing a similar job. We talked about my past experiences, my future aspirations, how I'd fit in with the company, and my ideal management style. They were really open and honest about the good and bad aspects of the job, emphasizing that they're looking for people who want to stay long-term.
- Can you share details about your prior recruiting experience?
- Could you elaborate on your full lifecycle recruiting expertise?
- What are your career aspirations moving forward?
Technical Recruiter
It was pretty straightforward. There were two main parts. First, a phone call where they went over my resume, experience, and skills. If I did well on that, the next step was a virtual interview. After those initial rounds, if I moved forward, they'd set up a chat with one or two team members to discuss the company culture and the work environment.
- Could you share your background and experience?
- What prompted your departure from your last position?
- Which Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) have you used?
