Registered Nurse
So the interview process itself was really professional. Started with a phone screening, then moved to an in-person interview. Just wanted to give a heads up to others that they're probably not going to offer competitive pay. I was upfront about my experience and what I'm currently making/expecting, and they still moved forward with scheduling the interview (which I had to take time off for). When the offer finally came, it was basically the same as 2019 pay before the current economy, way less than they know I'm currently earning. It was a bummer and honestly felt a bit dismissive considering how transparent I was.
- Can you share an instance where you received advice and explain your decision on whether or not to follow it, and the reasoning behind your choice?
Registered Nurse
You'll usually chat with the Clinical Manager for your department first, then have a peer interview with two people asking questions. They'll likely ask the same questions the Clinical Manager did. Afterward, you'll meet with a doctor for a brief chat before you go. If they decide to hire you, HR will contact you with an offer, discussing pay and scheduling your orientation. If you're moving within the system or laterally, you might not need a hospital-wide orientation.
- How would you feel about your current job?
Nurse
About 2 weeks after applying on the prisma website, the floor manager called me to set up an interview. First, she wanted to hear a little about me, then asked my availability for an interview over FaceTime. It lasted about 20 minutes, and there were 3 people in a conference room asking questions and writing things down while I was answering on FaceTime. They said I'd hear back by the end of the week.
- Can you start by telling us about yourself?
- What draws you to this particular field of nursing?
- How do you envision your career path in the next five years?
