Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Princess Cruises.
Customer Service Representative
It was a great experience where I learned a lot. I'm eager to bring those learnings to the company. They asked me questions about how I would handle situations and interact with customers, particularly in challenging scenarios like customer outbursts.
- What makes you a suitable candidate for this position?
- Describe how you would approach a hypothetical situation if you were employed here.
- How would you communicate with a customer who is upset or has an outburst?
Customer Service Representative
I did a mini group video interview where I was asked 3 questions about my past work/experience. It was a friendly and comfortable vibe. Then I had a one on one video interview where they asked a bit more about my job history and experience. After that, there was a 45 minute simulated call center test where I had to answer fake customer calls. The last step was a final video interview with some really nice ladies. Later, I got an email with a link to fill out background questions based on my initial online application. The whole process from applying to getting the job offer took about a month. My advice is to have your answers ready, dress the part, and just relax because the interviewers are very friendly.
- Can you share an instance where you achieved a challenging sales target or closed a tough sale?
Customer Service Representative
After I got hired, they changed my title to include SALES, which meant I had to push more products. It felt like a switch and bait tactic and was unfair, but I really needed the job. So, most of us had to go along with it. Many people left within a month.
- I was interviewed by more than two supervisors.
- It wasn't a difficult interview.
- However, their personalities changed from pleasant to unpleasant once I was hired.
