The interview was pretty quick and didn't feel like a typical chat, kinda impersonal. They didn't ask much about my past or what I've done. It quickly turned into them explaining their business model and the company. It was informative, but more like a presentation than an actual interview, not much back and forth.

The interview took place at a rented office in downtown Washington, DC. The people interviewing me are independent contractors, which they didn't mention upfront. The company seems to hide this fact because it might deter candidates. They require a $100 fee, presented as a deposit, which you get back after closing your first deal. There's also a $25 monthly fee for their online training modules, which are mandatory for licensing needed to work as their independent contractors. The person who initially interviewed me wasn't the one who presented the company; it was his girlfriend, who also seems to work there part-time as a contractor. It appears the company operates by having existing employees recruit new ones, creating a sort of pyramid structure where everyone is part of someone else's 'upline' and earns residual income from those below them. Training sessions are held twice a week, on Thursday and Saturday evenings, to avoid conflicts with full-time jobs. They seem to prefer part-time employees as it's more profitable for them. I still haven't gotten clear details on the payment methods for their various plans, and I'll need to ask the reps I've met again. I'm also curious about how much the current employees have earned, as they're quite secretive about their income, which I find strange. The whole setup feels like an 'organized group,' and the managers seem harmless so far. They're quiet about earnings, which makes me wonder why, though I don't want to be overly critical yet.

I got a call from someone to check if I was free for an in-person interview. We set it up for a time that worked for me. When I went in, they asked me a bunch of questions about how I handle people and some experiences I've had. Then, I met with the office manager. She told me all about the company and what they do. She also gave me a presentation about what a Financial Advisor is and the kind of work they do. It was a really good presentation. I got to ask my own questions, and they answered them well. Overall, it was a really good interview process.
