First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Prezi.
Web Experience Designer
I had an initial interview for the Senior Web Experience Designer role. The interviewer asked some assumptive questions, like why I left my last job, when I was actually made redundant. The conversation focused on my hard skills in Webflow, design tools, and design systems. They should probably rename the position to Sr Web UI Designer.
- Can you share your experience with Webflow, and how you approach scalability in design and design systems?
UX Researcher
I applied to Prezi in February 2022 for the Senior UX Researcher role and received an offer about 4 weeks later. The interview process had 6 main steps: a quick intro call with recruitment, a first interview with recruitment and the hiring manager, a take-home UX research assignment that simulated a real study including a mock usability test with a senior team member. This assignment was time-consuming but provided insight into the work and allowed the team to assess my skills. The hiring manager and a senior colleague were very supportive. Then, I presented my assignment results to the hiring manager, had a chat with the US-based Department Senior Manager to ask questions, and finished with a video call with the entire Design Team (over 10 people) to get acquainted.
- How do you work with different roles on a cross-functional team when creating a research study?
- What's your process for deciding which research studies to do first?
- Can you share your reasons for leaving your last position?
Software Engineer
This was a really drawn-out interview process. It kicked off with an HR chat, then moved into at least two technical interviews, which might vary based on how senior the role is. Finally, there was a behavioral interview to check for cultural alignment. For me, it ended up being a complete waste of three weeks. I cleared all the steps and even got good feedback from HR, but in the end, I never heard back about why I didn't get an offer. If you care about your time, I'd steer clear of this company. Super unprofessional!

Customer Support Specialist
The whole thing took about 2 months from submitting my CV and a detailed cover letter. It started with a few screening questions via email, then a screening video interview with HR for basic biographic questions. After that, there was a 2-hour-long panel interview with 2 managers, which was super exhausting and had incredibly challenging questions that really drilled my head for a long time. This was followed by a casual chat with the team lead. The fourth and final round was an 8-hour assessment day filled with video calls, roleplays, chat roleplaying, and answering emails, Zoom support requests, and tickets. I had to wait 2 weeks after passing the third round for the fourth round to be organized. After being kept on their hook for so long, getting told by everyone they loved me, passing all four rounds, doing very well in all the roleplays, and proving the skills they were looking for (multitasking, being at least somewhat technically savvy, thinking on your feet), they ended up choosing someone else. Such a waste of time.
- Regarding how you take feedback, tell me about yourself.
