First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Prestige NY.
Marketing Associate
I had a group zoom interview first, then a in-person interview that lasted about an hour. The questions were pretty straight forward and situational. They didn't tell me it was a door-to-door sales position until the second interview.
- What are your future goals?
Account Manager
The interview process was really informative and structured, giving a detailed look at the day-to-day. The team at Prestige NY was super welcoming and kind throughout. I got a clear picture of opportunities for growth, development, recognition, and earning potential – there's no ceiling! It's open to anyone, but I know it takes work ethic, being open to learning, a good attitude, and giving it your all to hit your goals. What really got me excited were the team environment and the business trips!
- Listing in order, what is most important: growth, money, or recognition?
Marketing Representative
The interview process was pretty decent, although the lobby was a bit cluttered with other interviewees and didn't have many places to sit. However, the managers were able to answer a lot of my questions about the company. I really understood and appreciated the level of accountability they have within their young entrepreneurs program. Especially in this day and age where entitlement can lead to the downfall of many people's careers. You get what you work for! Not what you feel you deserve.
- Tell me about any leadership qualities you've had in the past.
- Do you like talking to people?
Management Trainee
I was contacted by the company to set up an interview date. This was after I had already interviewed for two days and completed the entire interview process, and even received a job offer. The interviews weren't too tough, mostly simple questions to see if I'd be a good fit. They are looking for outgoing people to sell Verizon products door-to-door, with chances to advance within the company or even own a Verizon store. I declined the job due to the salary, which wasn't disclosed beforehand. I was told the average salary was $45,000 with room for negotiation. When we discussed compensation, they mentioned $200 per new customer, with work hours from 10 am to 8:30 pm Monday through Friday and 10 am to 6 pm on Saturdays. Selling 5 new customers ($1000) weekly works out to about $16.50 an hour. If you can manage with that weekly income and no base salary, this company might be for you.
- What makes you the best candidate for this role?
- Are you confident in your ability to perform this job?
- Can you introduce yourself?
