Behavioral Technical

I went through about 4 interviews, including HR, User 1, User 2, and the Manager. It was a quick process, with one interview happening each week. It wasn't overly difficult, mostly just making sure my previous experience aligned with what the job needs. The role involves a significant amount of cold calling and building relationships.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process has 2 main rounds but really 3 stages including the initial screening. First, there's a screening call with a recruiter to talk about your background and see if you're a fit for the role. They'll also ask about your salary expectations. Then, you'll interview with three Senior Research Associates who will ask more specific questions about the job and assess if you'd fit into the company culture and your past experience. Finally, you'll meet with three managers, each from a different team, for interviews focusing on behavioral questions and job tasks. One of these managers would likely be your direct supervisor if you get the job.

Behavioral Technical Other

The first step was a HR call to explain the role and gauge interest. Next, there was a straightforward comprehension essay to assess quantitative and qualitative skills. The final stage was an interview with the hiring manager, which was significantly more challenging than previous rounds. The interviewer expected deep industry knowledge, treating applicants as experts despite the role being open to new graduates. HR provided materials on the alternative assets industry, requiring over 5 hours of study, and applicants were expected to know even more. My experience in this last stage was disappointing and surprising, as the interviewer seemed uninterested, sighed frequently, and appeared rushed. This was the worst interview I've ever had due to the significant preparation time invested, especially since the interviewer lacked the same enthusiasm. For a role demanding patience and good manners, she exhibited neither, possibly due to being overworked. Be fully prepared before meeting the hiring manager.
