First, I had a screening call with the internal recruiter to go over my background and why I was interested in the job. Then, I chatted with the hiring manager who wanted to dive deeper into my experience. After that, I had a call with the CPO. There was a small assignment to complete beforehand which led to a discussion about the existing product and my thoughts on how to make it better. Finally, there was a take-home task followed by a presentation where I had to consider two potential product changes and argue for one of them.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I had 5 calls in total and got rejected in the last stage. People, in general, were very friendly and I got a great impression of the company's culture. A few problems/negative comments: - I had TWO recruiter calls before having the first real interview. After the first recruiter call (I think they were a contractor), an interview was scheduled. I thought it was a real interview but it was yet another recruiter. A bit of a waste of time. - The last interview was a Product Sense interview. I got rejected because I didn't do well, it was fair. However, the case that was presented (and shared a few days before the interview) was about the Preply product. As someone who runs these interviews in my current company, I can say that it's not good practice to ask candidates to elaborate product cases about the company they are interviewing for - this biases the opinion of the interviewer. It's best to pick another product to talk about, so both people in the room are following the same thought process.

Behavioral Case Presentation

I was ghosted after finishing the whole interview process. First, I had an interview with recruitment, then the hiring manager, then I did a case study, and finally interviewed with a director. After all that, I never heard back from them. Preply didn't even bother to let me know they weren't moving forward with an offer. They just ghosted me. It was unbelievably disrespectful, rude, and lacked basic human decency. This company clearly has zero respect for people. Run away.
