It was made up of 5 parts: Brief talk with HR, coderbyte coding test, 2h technical interview, 1h interview with team lead/manager, final short interview about culture. Recruiter was very fast with answering and scheduling interviews. The process was smooth and really well structured - intense, but fair and human.

- A basic React task was included in the coding test.
- Two open questions regarding professional achievements and interests were asked.
Front-End Engineer
The Technical Recruiter set up a meeting to give a thorough presentation of Preply, its company values, the team, and the role. Following that, the Tech Leader for the team scheduled a one-hour Technical interview to go over my past experience. Then, the Tech Leader and the Team Leader conducted a 90-minute interview where we delved into my previous experiences, how I'd tackle real-world problems, and my vision for the role. The Engineering Manager then had a 60-minute interview to explain the team's working flow and compare it with my previous work flows. Lastly, a Culture Champion had a 60-minute interview to discuss the company values and my fit with them. The overall process was great, and the interviewers were open to questions, very skilled, and pleasant.
- In your prior role on the Platform team, how did you quantify the success of your initiatives?
Front End Developer
The interviewers were not punctual or prepared. They asked outdated questions like "this" in JS which, after questioning, turned out not to be used in the day-to-day job. There was very little discussion or questions around React, state management, testing, or TypeScript, which are standard interview questions in 2024.
- Given an object with methods, one of which uses `this.` and is not working, debug the issue.
