First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Premier, Inc..
Software Developer
I found the job on their website and they got back to me pretty fast via email. The first step was a phone interview with the recruiter, which was pretty chill. They asked me about stuff on my resume and some general getting-to-know-you questions, like about my hobbies. I didn't get to the onsite interview stage, probably because they already had someone in mind for the role.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Can you talk about the projects listed on your resume?
- Tell me some things about yourself.
Software Engineer Intern
I first gave my resume to them at my university career fair, and they had technical recruiters there which was a plus. I was contacted by phone to learn more about the company and to schedule an on-campus interview. The interview day was good. The technical part had two managers, one front-end and one back-end. The networking lunch wasn't my favorite because I find that kind of thing stressful. The recruiter is really friendly and has kept in touch, so I feel comfortable talking to her. Three managers from the front-end department called to talk about their projects and how I would fit in. That department seemed interested in modernizing their technologies.
- Can you tell me about your experience with JS front-end frameworks?
- What do you know about sorting algorithms?
- What are your basics in database knowledge?
Software Engineer
It was a tough but fair interview process with a strong focus on the technical aspects. I went through multiple interview rounds before getting an offer. I was really excited about the role and thought the department culture was great, and I enjoyed talking to everyone. The benefits also seem good. A downside is the company feels a bit lost right now. After I got the offer, they told me there's a hiring freeze affecting some positions in my branch, leaving me in limbo.
- What steps would you take to optimize a SQL query using SSMS?
