Behavioral Presentation

I applied for a graduate recruitment consultant role and heard back quickly. I had a phone call, then a Teams call, and finally a face-to-face interview, all within a few weeks. They gave me really positive feedback, saying I was amazing and would fit in well. After the last interview, they told me hiring was on hold until January due to budget cuts. I stayed in touch, and mentioned I had other offers, hoping to prompt a decision. Now, they've advertised the job I was basically promised, and I haven't heard anything. No explanation, no rejection, nothing. It's weird a recruitment company can't recruit, why interview if there's no budget, and why promise a job then ignore someone and re-advertise? This whole experience was disappointing and has made me hesitant to apply for other jobs. It feels like I dodged a bullet, as poor communication is a bad sign for a recruitment company. They are a shambles, wasted my time and effort, and offered no apology, just empty words. For a company that prides itself on effective communication, they failed miserably. Avoid them.

The interview process is pretty simple, with two steps. First, there's a Zoom call. Then, the last step is an in-person meeting at the office with the director.

I was first contacted by HR over the phone and scheduled a Zoom meeting. She was very helpful in explaining the different job positions and asked about my interests and if I fit the roles they were hiring for. After that, I had to go for a second interview with the hiring manager.

I went through 3 stages with managers, with each interview on a different day. They said it could have been done in 1-2 interviews. The job was initially a cold calling role. The only good thing is they were flexible with time. I also sat with team members to talk about day to day.
