HR reached out to me first to discuss salary expectations and then set up the interview. The interview lasted about 3 hours, where I met individually with technical and program leaders. In the end, the offer was 30% lower than what I had agreed upon with HR beforehand. I was well qualified for the role. It was very disappointing that they were dishonest about the salary, both in the offer and on the job sites. I felt like I wasted my time.

I was already in touch with a manager/recruiter from a college career fair for about a year. After talking to him again recently, I was invited on site in East Hartford. I wasn't applying for one specific job. I stayed in a hotel the night before and got there around 9am the next day. A security guard in the Engineering building took me to my first interview. I ended up interviewing with four different departments in Structures Engineering in the Hot Section. In total, that was 5 interviews, plus some time with a practitioner, and lunch with an associate. One of the interviews included a tour of the Customer Training Center where I was asked technical questions about different engine mechanical systems on display. I couldn't answer some of them, but he gave me some tips and I figured them out. The practitioner time was a chance to chat with new employees about their jobs and current projects. I got an offer about a week later.
