The selection process involved 3 steps: the first two were introductory meetings with HR and then with the director and the merchandiser. The last one was a practical session with the merchandiser.

Got approached on Linkedin to see if I wanted to work for Prada. Sent my CV and got an initial interview at Head Office with the recruiter and manager. I was successful and then invited for a second round, which was a practical interview at a store. However, I never heard back from them. The experience started positive, but ended negatively. When I arrived at the store for the second round, I got a call just as I got there saying they needed to reschedule for the next day. This was already frustrating as I had to take time off work. The practical felt pointless because the recruiter and manager didn't seem interested the whole time, even though the first round went well. I was interviewed with another candidate to 'save time'. We had to merchandise a wall, pick an outfit for a typical Prada guy, and choose 3 classic Prada items every woman should own. I felt like I was already losing because they talked to the other candidate more, and it was intimidating because it was before opening and the shop staff were all watching. I didn't hear back, and 3 weeks later I emailed the recruiter for feedback, assuming the role was filled. I got a generic response saying 'we felt all the other candidates was stronger'. A few months later, I found out the role went to someone internally. It felt like a waste of time.

There was 1 HR interview and then 2 interviews with the team on site. They were checking to see if I was a good fit for the job and if I understood my responsibilities properly. They also asked if I had seen the last catwalk shows and what I particularly liked.
