Pricing Manager
Applied and heard back from HR after 2 weeks. Then got invited to chat with the product team the following week. Had a 1-hour panel interview with a pricing manager and two directors. The discussion centered on my past experience and my approach to pricing decisions in my current role. I was initially told there would be a 30-minute break followed by a case study to work on, with a 30-minute presentation afterward. However, the case study presentation was canceled because of an interviewer's schedule. I received an offer but declined it because I found a role closer to my family. The process was very quick and professional. The company, the opportunity, and the benefits all seemed excellent.
- How would you gauge the market size for a commodity?
- Do you think using a surcharge is a good idea?
Manager
Got a call from HR after I sent in my resume. We talked and she wanted to have me do a video interview. Took 4 days to hear back on this. Then couldn't schedule it for another week. The HR person told me they were in the office 2 times a week. Great! Get to the interviews. 5 people, spread out over 3 hours over two days. Interviews went ok, I have no regrets how I did. Didn't get the offer, which I'm at peace with. BUT all I got out was a form letter rejection that wasn't even updated to reflect the total process. I even reached out asking for feedback and got radio silence.
- Can you provide a 30-60-90 day plan for managing people?
Management Trainee
Interviewed with the store Manager and District Manager. The internship itself was okay, with a decent amount of grunt work. However, I did learn a lot about paint and supply chain management and operations.
- Tell me about safety procedures.
