First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PPD.
Analyst
Got a message from a recruiter on LinkedIn. Talked to that same recruiter. Then had another interview with the department lead and the hiring manager. They asked STAR method questions, it was a pretty easy process.
- Can you describe a situation using the STAR method?
Programme Analyst
I applied online and the whole process took about three weeks. First, there was a phone interview with a manager. Then, an onsite interview was scheduled for February 2016 in Richmond, lasting almost 3 hours. This included a test and three interviews focused on behavioral questions. I was told they would get back to me soon, which was exciting. However, it took two weeks for updates after two follow-ups.
- A half-hour test on SAS data merge.
- Tell me about a time when you experienced a situation like xxx...
Programme Analyst
After applying online, I received an interview invite from HR. The interview day had 3 back-to-back interviews: one with Programming Managers, another with Statisticians, and a final one with other programmers. It included a coding test along with general and CV-related questions.
- Can you explain how to adjust the length of a variable within a dataset?
