First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Poynt.
Software Developer
This was the worst place to interview. I had two calls with recruiters, but neither called on time, and one didn't even bother to message me to say they were busy. One of them made me feel bad for still using my university email. They were rude and acted like I wasn't worth their time.
- Can you solve this basic algorithm problem?
- Can you implement a more efficient solution to the algorithm problem, using one less for loop?
Software Engineer
First I had a phone call where we talked about my skills and projects. Then, there was a technical screening. The last part was an in-person interview at the Poynt head office.
- How would you construct the array map function using anonymous functions?
Software Engineer
I applied on AngelList and the entire process from application to offer took about 4 weeks. It was pretty standard for a tech company: first a recruiter call, then a technical phone interview, followed by on-site interviews.
- Could you tell me about your experience with algorithms?
- Let's discuss system design.
- Do you have any questions about Javascript?
