Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Power Home Remodeling.
Office Manager
They started with the company mission, then I had two interviews which seemed like a lot. I met with the Sales and Marketing directors. I had to give a slideshow about the company and how it operates, which was misleading.
- What makes you a good candidate for this company?
Manager
There were 3 different phases to interviewing with Power. First, a phone interview with a recruiter. Then, a zoom interview with another manager in the department, followed by a zoom meeting with the VP of the department. After passing both, I had an in-person meeting with the VP and got a tour of the building. Each zoom meeting was 90 minutes, and the in-person meeting and tour took about 2 hours. After some email exchanges, I was told to expect a call the following week. Instead, I got a form letter over two weeks later.
- What makes you want to interview with Power?
Office Manager
I moved from a different state and looked online to find who was hiring. Submitted my application and resume and got a call back a few days later. The interview process was very straight-forward. When I reached to the in-person interview, I was interviewed by the COO and RVP. They made the environment feel very relaxed and made me feel comfortable being transparent. I was 1 of 6 applicants and got the offer a few weeks later.
- What would your previous manager say are your top three strengths?
