It was pretty brief. They weren't really asking me job-specific questions, seemed more focused on whether I'd be a culture fit. You know, assistant buyers gotta be detail-oriented because there are tons of tiny details when you're setting up SKUs and putting in first costs into the system. And you definitely need to be okay with Excel since all the product lists are in Excel files. Plus, you gotta be organized with how you handle samples. I made sure to tell them I was good at all that stuff.

I applied online and then had 2 phone interviews with the recruiter. The next week, I went in for 3 in-person interviews. I followed up shortly after but didn't hear anything back for over 3 weeks. The recruiter then told me I didn't have enough experience and offered me a phone interview for a lower-level position. She said she'd email me with the interview details, but she never did, and I decided not to follow up.
